Applied Microsystems Introduces the Minos Profiler

Applied Microsystems (AML) is pleased to announce the release of a new instrument Model, the Minos.  The Minos SVP and Minos CTD are designed for vertical profiling from small launches or boats.   

Key Features and Benefits Include:

Small Size:  Roughly ½ the size of Applied Microsystems Plus v2, the instrument is sized to allow ease-of-deployment from small launches or boats.

Ease-of-Use: An LED indicator light provides pre-deployment feedback on battery and logging status.

Total Flexibility: With the recent release of SV·Xchange™ and the upcoming release of P·Xchange™  - field swappable sound velocity and pressure sensors - the Minos SVP is the only profiler on the market that doesn’t need to return to the factory for calibration purposes.

Minos SVP

The Minos SVP is ideal for ocean professionals completing vertical profiles from small launches or boats. The Minos SVP is roughly half the size of Applied Microsystems SV Plus v2, making handling easier in small spaces. In addition, the instrument includes an LED status light which provides visual feedback on logging status and battery strength.

The Minos SVP is the only profiler on the market which can be fitted with all Xchange sensors, meaning that all sensors can be field-swapped. The instrument never needs to return to the factory for recalibration purposes.
