AML Oceanographic is located on the west coast of North America, in Sidney, British Columbia, Canada.  Sidney is located on Vancouver Island and can only be reached by air or by ferry from the mainland.  By air, we are easily reached from Vancouver (YVR) or Seattle with 30 minute service to Victoria International Airport (YYJ).   

We can also be reached by ferry from either city.  Vancouver departures leave from Tswassen - about 45 minutes south of downtown Vancouver - and ferries to Vancouver Island arrive at Schwartz Bay Terminal, roughly 40 minutes north of Victoria and 10 minutes north of Sidney.  Travel time from Tswassen to Schwartz Bay is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Seattle water service uses the Victoria Clipper, which departs downtown Seattle and arrives in downtown Victoria roughly 3 hours later.  Victoria is about 30 minutes south of Sidney.
